Tract is Coming to an End

One of the unfortunate realities of the educational technology market is that sometimes really good products and services aren’t sustainable businesses. That appears to be the case with one of my favorite services, Tract.

Yesterday afternoon Tract announced that they are shutting down on January 1, 2023. That means you have just a couple of weeks to download any content that you or your students have uploaded to your Tract accounts over the last couple of years.

I’m a bit sad about the closure of Tract because I really thought it provided a great way to engage students and learn about their interests. But I’m hopeful that the team behind Tract comes back with something new and even better for teachers and students in the future.
